The diary dates for the Spring term:

Tuesday 8th

Welcome back! Pupils return to school for the start of the Spring Term.

Monday 14th

Exam Week:  all children will sit school exams/assessments this week and those pupils taking SATS later this term will sit "mock" exams in the Hall to help prepare them for the real thing.

At Calder House we believe that exams are part of life. And learning how to sit them confidently, in order to show what you know, is an important life skill. Parents are asked to re-assure their children that, while it is normal to feel a little nervous, they have nothing to worry about. Please also support them by ensuring they get a good night's sleep and start the day with a proper breakfast.

Tuesday 15th

Parent Forum: all parents are warmly invited to an informal meeting with Mrs Delahay (9.15am Downstairs Office)

Swimming: pupils in Groups 3a and 3b will be going swimming. If your child is in either of these groups please ensure they remember to bring their swimming things to school.

Children at invited to come into school wearing something Scottish in honour of Robbie Burns...  and anyone who manages to track down some actual Calder tartan  will earn 10 House Points!

Writing Week: pupils will sit writing assessments during their normal English lessons.

Safety Week: over the course of this week Calder House will be focusing on raising awareness of important personal safety issues - including stranger danger and how to stay safe online - with expert visits, workshops, lessons and talks for pupils and their parents.
