  • Term starts: Monday 9 September, 2019
  • Autumn Half Term: Wednesday 23 October – Friday 1 November (inclusive)
  • Pupils Return: Monday 4 November
  • Term Ends: Friday 20 December, 2019 at midday

Spring Term 2020

  • Term Starts: Wednesday 8 January, 2020
  • Spring Half Term:  Thursday 13 February to Tuesday 25 February (inclusive)
  • Pupils Return: Wednesday 26 February
  • Term Ends: Friday 3 April, 2019 at 4pm*

*please note the Spring Term 2020 will end at 4pm on the final day of term - not at midday

Summer Term 2020

  • Term Starts: Thursday 23 April, 2020
  • Mayday bank holiday: Friday 1 May
  • Summer Half Term: Monday 25 May to Tuesday 2 June (inclusive)
  • Pupils Return: Wednesday 3 June, 2020
  • Staff Inset Day: Monday 29th June (please note: School will be closed on this day)
  • Term Ends: Wednesday 22 July, 2020 at midday

The diary dates for the Autumn term:

Monday 9th

Back to School:  it is first day of the Autumn Term and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Meet the Team: all parents (those new to the school but also those whose children were here last year) are invited to an informal meeting to introduce our members of staff  (starts 5pm - please note: pupils should not attend this meeting)

Friday 13th

Swimming Lessons: pupils in the Purple and Brown Classes will be going swimming today. Please don't forget your towels and swimming costumes.

Celebration Assembly! (starts 3.20pm)

Monday 16th

Roald Dahl Day: pupils are invited to come into school dressed as their favourite character from Roald's wonderful stories.

Friday 20th

Swimming lessons: pupils from the Purple and Brown classes go swimming today - don't forget your swimming stuff and towels!

Celebration Assembly! (starts 3.20pm)

Monday 23rd

Literacy Meeting: all parents are invited to attend and to learn more about how we approach the teaching of literacy at Calder House (starts 4pm)

Tuesday 24th

Parent Forum: an opportunity for parents to meet informally with Julie Delahay. Everyone welcome (starts 9am)

Friday 27th

Bath Literary Festival: pupils in the Orange class to visit the Festival for an event with Cressida Cowell, author of How to Train Your Dragon.

Swimming lessons: pupils from the Purple and Brown classes go swimming today - don't forget your swimming stuff and towels!

Tuesday 1st

NSCPP visit: Calder House weclomes Kevin West from the NSPCC to talk to pupils about staying safe.

Wednesday 2nd

Bath Literary Festival: pupils in the Blue, Yellow, Brown and Purple classes visit the Festival for an event with Paul Stewart, author of The Edge Chronicles

Friday 4th

Class Assembly: for pupils in Purple class - friends and family are warmly invited to attend (starts 8.40am)

Bath Literary Festival: pupils in the Green class visit the Festival for an event with guy Parker-Rees, illustrator of Giraffe's Can't Dance
