Hair to help

2 June, 2021

Being treated for cancer can cause your hair to fall out. It will re-grow after the treatment but, at the time, losing your hair can be really upsetting. And that’s where the Little Princess Trust comes in.

This amazing charity exists to provide wigs made of natural hair for children and young people going through cancer treatment. Each wig costs £550 to make but the charity gives them away – completely free – to those who need them.

CHS pupil Charlotte heard about the Trust’s amazing work and decided to help by donating her own hair so that it could be made into a wig to help someone who is battling cancer.

Charlotte’s long locks were carefully cut to ensure not a single snip was wasted. But that’s not all! Through her hair-raising heroics, Charlotte has also managed to raise over £550 for the Trust – enough money to pay for the costs of having her hair made into a wig for someone who really needs it.

You can find out more about The Little Princess Trust by visiting their website. And if you would like to make a donation, visit Charlotte’s fund-raising page on “Just Giving"
